Event Notice | March 10 Webinar on New Technologies and Methods in Metabolomics

On March 10, the 8th online symposium on new technologies and methods in metabolomics, organized by Instrument.com.cn, will officially begin. The event brings together leading domestic universities, research institutes, and industry experts to provide an efficient platform for exchange and learning for researchers and practitioners in related fields.

Highlights of the symposium include both technology updates and frontier research. On the technology side, the program covers mass spectrometry imaging, new mass spectrometry probes, GC-MS, stimulated Raman spectroscopic imaging, ESI-SWATH-MS/MS, and AI-powered annotation tools, along with recent advances in their applications. On the research side, the agenda spans lipid metabolomics, spatial multi-omics analysis, omics data processing and visualization, and the latest metabolomics findings in high-interest areas such as precision diagnosis and treatment of disease and drug development.

The symposium will feature a keynote talk by Professor Yue Shuhua of Beihang University titled "Stimulated Raman Spectroscopic Imaging: Revealing Cellular Lipid Metabolism and Supporting Precision Diagnosis and Treatment of Disease." The talk will examine frontier applications and practical achievements of stimulated Raman spectroscopic imaging in cellular lipid-metabolism research and precision diagnostics.

Practical deployment of stimulated Raman scattering imaging depends on specialized imaging tools. Vibronix's multimodal nonlinear optical microscopy platform integrates coherent Raman imaging, two- photon fluorescence imaging, and second-harmonic generation imaging, and supports both SRS and CARS modalities. It enables label-free, high-resolution, chemically specific imaging of biomolecules, making it possible to capture the spatial distribution and dynamic changes of lipids, proteins, and other components with precision. This provides comprehensive technical and data support for cell- metabolism research and precision diagnosis and treatment, aligns closely with the core theme of the symposium, and supports continued scientific and application-driven exploration in the field.
